Returns

I gladly accept returns as noted below.

  • Contact me within: 7 days of delivery

  • Ship items back within: 14 days of delivery

  • I don't accept exchanges or cancellations

  • No returns on custom or personalized orders

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. Any orders returned as unclaimed will be refunded for the cost of the item(s). Shipping charges are non-refundable. Damaged or used items will not be refunded.

No returns allowed after 14 days of receiving your order (some exclusions may apply).

How do I care my new bowl?

Bowls

My wood bowls are hand crafted, one-of-a-kind turnings from locally harvested trees which were carefully selected for their beauty, wood type, and uniqueness.  

Bowls and Turnings are coated with several coats of Waterlox that is sanded between coats. The finish is then buffed using a three-step process. The third and final coat is Carnauba wax. Waterlox is a premium, durable wood finish made with Tung oil that creates a shiny finish. Both are food safe.

Gently hand wash using a mild dishwashing liquid using a soft sponge or washcloth.

If you have purchased a bowl with a bark edge be careful handling. The bark edge can be broken off if mishandled. Avoid rolling over the edge.

If you have purchased a bowl treated with Walnut Oil. The oil is heat treated to prevent allergies and is food safe. Hand wash same as above. When the bowl gets lighter in color it may be time to add a refresher coat of walnut oil. Oil can be purchased on Amazon.

DO NOT place in a dishwasher, microwave or oven.  

With a little care these wood creations should last a very long time.

Chopsticks

Chopsticks are treated with a special blend of mineral oil and beeswax. Hand wash with mild soap and water.

Do not place in dishwasher or microwave.

When finish shows signs of wear, re-treat with a liberal application of mineral oil or walnut oil.

Privacy

Canterbury Turnings does not collect credit card information. Buyer names and contact info is not shared with anyone else for any reason.
